Holy crap, this is getting more and more ridiculous that i'm actually engaging with this site again just for this absolute trainwreck of new layout coding.

speaking of which, what attribute did you add to what html code that made comments no longer cut off words? I'm trying figure out which it is so I could read long form comments without having to switch out of the site's new layout.

Thanks and where can I find the code you add it to? I'm trying to make comments that had their words cut off by the geniuses behind the new ui readable through the attribute like you use.

I am using Stylebot and putting it as:

Geez and I thought Deviantart's new layout was bad but this is going beyond just an aesthetic displeasement.

First not only do replies no longer show under comments they're suppose to be replying to but the choice to put all comments on the same page and instantly loading them instead of laying them out through a numbered list was really a downgrade and just made browsing comments more difficult than they need to be.

Don't know what smartass changed the limit to be only 63 instead of 50 but may you never have children and may animals hate you. And give us infinite scroll finally

Alright now I can finally say what's been bothering me with the site since I got here and what I believe is part of the problem KYM is facing right now, The Reddit bot is more and less the reason why this website is becoming harder to navigate cuz every time I try search for something here I end up being bombarded with reposted stuff. now don't get me wrong I understand the point for it was to archive memes that will go unnoticed by staff/mods & help fill out galleries for new entries, I see how that could be useful for a site like this but let me bite here, was it really necessory to have it upload the same posts again? (whether it be another user or itself)

and posting the exact same memes whether it's once or 9 times?

and completely random unedited images that have nothing to do with the memes entries they're in? (dont get me started on what it uploads to the jojo gallery)

and hell stuff that aren't even memes in any sense imaginable and are just something that someone posted online

this isn't documenting anything, this is just filler, pure unadulterated filler. Like even you guys would understand this is a little ridiculous? and didn't even scratch this surface.

What is this chronological option about?

I'll throw my two cents into things, since I have reason to believe that the comments and high score options for individual image galleries don't even work anymore.

I wanted to look for an image from the Helltaker gallery, which would have been an easy find, since it was one of the top rated images. Only that clicking the button for high score just seems to bring in random images in the same vein as relevant, than images that are ranked by amount of comments or likes.

I just want to say, I believe that constructive criticism is the best way to warrant change. So, I want to, without any hyperbole, exclaim the following.

OH MY FUCKING GOD, THIS SITE IS UNREADABLE. THERE THE TEXT IS CONSTANTLY CHANGING SIZE, THERE'S NO NATURAL BORDERS TO ANYTHING SO IT LOOKS LIKE A CONSTANTLY CONGEALED MESS, AND SO MANY OF THE BLOODY HTML FEATURES DON'T EVEN WORK.

Why did you even do this? Was it to attract the latest generation of iPad kids? No one is going to look at this site and want to stay on it because it's vicious on the eyes in a way that is almost indescribable. No one's posting, no one's staying because it's visually taxing to use this web page, and if you continue to push this onto people, it will, without question, kill the entire site.

Aesthetic is relative, but when your UX is about as friendly as an active hand grenade, then you have fundamentally failed as a website. Send your web designer back to moderating Reddit, and try again. Or better yet, don't try at all because technology hasn't moved in the past 15 years, and no one's going to call this site "old" because of it.

plus there's more I haven't posted (btw you guy should really get rid of the edit limit on the forums, other sites had comments you can edit at any time and you guys couldn't even bother updating that)

I was actually referring to site staff. Are you on the staff? Can you get anyone to address some of the issues as noted above? Might help bring back the some 1 million odd unique visitors lost since June.

can't believe I haven't mentioned the new Staff, cause I already said so much about the reddit bot that I think it would go over the character limit if I ranted both but frankly they're just as large as a reason for this Site's problems that leaving them out wouldn't feel right, (I won't mention specific members so I decided to go by what they generally upload)

a lot of what I mentioned about the reddit bot applies to them such as uploading the same posts

making browsing here harder due to the excessive posting

and uploading stuff that aren't memes in any context.

Plus there's a constant neglect of properly tagging their memes as well as the weird desire to censor even the most innocous words

Ever since the new site layout I haven't been able to make my upvotes stay. I'll upvote something, refresh or load the page again some other time, and the upvote count will have decreased as though I didn't upvote at all. If I click again, it'll increase again, but it still removes my upvote when I visit the page again at any later point.

Remember when the "staff" was promising that bugs and bad parts of the new layout were going to be addressed, then completely vanished without explanation or said improvements, apparently being replaced by 5 or so Reddit scraping bots that shit out 500 reposts per day, while a constant barrage of new and old glitches happen hindering actual users activity (the few that remain, that is), and meanwhile parts of the site that still use the old layout "mysteriously" still work although the staff said the old layout was the main cause of several problems the site was having?

I came here to get an image and got sidetracked when I checked that the related images were nothing but Reddit reposts from TWO NEW BOTS.

Anyway, back in the grave.

Amongst the various kinds of bs from the already mentioned staff there's also the very questionable history/nostalgia article which features pictures people took of themselves, I bring this up cause why in the blue hell are you getting these? is there any permission at all? cuz if not then don't find me surprised if this website ends up getting sued because I can't see how you guys can do this & not realize the red flags there.

Now this isn't to say I hate the bots entirely ⁽ᵀʰᵒᵘᵍʰ ᴵ ᵈᵉᶠᶦⁿᶦᵗᵉˡʸ ˢʰᵒᵘˡᵈ⁾ there are good things they upload (I like the stuff they post from the dogelore, memeeconomy, tumblr and bikinibottomtwitter subreddits) but I'm not joking when I say the all images section has turn into a hot mess because you guys don't bother with the mass uploads these bots spew on a daily.

Not that I come here that often nowadays, but I just wanted to tell that you morons broke the image gallery, again.

I mean, they were already broken since the new and "improved" layout, but now they are even more broken and the html is full of garbage attributes.
Only the first handful of images load properly, then every subsequent image takes ages to load, then lacks the quick info box that shows on hover.

Not only you idiots messed the attributes the first time putting "data" on front of everything, now you absolute morons managed to duplicate the attributes and put another "data" in front of everything.

You know it's becoming kinda funny how the staff stated that "retiring" the old ui was meant to cause less problems for this site & yet already we got three problems that majorly impact the site's functions

The old layout never caused problems by itself, it was their inept morons trying to change stuff without having any idea of how the code worked.
The proof is that the old layout still exists in some parts and works better than the new one, while the new one has problems daily because their ChatGPT coders don't know basic HTML.

I said it once, but do read the KYM Owners page and you understand why this place is at the current state.
If Reddit stops working for a few days, this place is out of business.

And at any given moment I could refresh the page to find myself "logged out," only to try and log in and be met with "you're already logged in" error messages.

turns out that not only a majority of image galleries for entries like Crossover and Monster Girls are hidden with a NSFW filter just for being marked sensitive but trying to load comment sections for said entries get continously met with errors.

Imma say this in the nicest way I can, could you actually hire someone with marginal knowledge of website coding to be in charge for once?

It's been so many months later and the search function for images is broken!

I've left the site ever since the layout change, but decided to come back and check how it's doing. Glad to see it's still all dogshit, I'm surprised you guys are still even here.

And now apparently the reddit moments doesn't get blocked if you logged in and on first page. Lovely!!!
