At roughly the 30-second timestamp, Rihanna introduced "Influencer Smurf," who said, "Smash that subscribe button," while dancing. The trailer gathered over five million plays in three days.

Initial reactions to "Influencer Smurf" on Twitter / X were overwhelmingly negative, with several internet users joking about how the character was canceled for various made-up controversies.
