IShowEyes, also known as I Show Eyes, refers to a reaction GIF and meme featuring streamer and YouTuber IShowSpeed (Speed) edited with exaggerated googly eyes and recaptioned "IShowEyes," a derivative of the earlier "IShowFinance" meme. The GIF, originating sometime in 2024, remained largely obscure until its resurgence on TikTok in early March 2026 as a brainrot meme.

Origin

Search interest metrics provided by Google Trends^[7] indicate that the query "IShowEyes" saw some searches in mid-2022, however, no posts can be found from that period.

The earliest known upload of the IShowEyes GIF was posted to Tenor^[1] on May 12th, 2024, by user ZEFORAHH. The GIF circulated online in the following months as part of early “IShowEyes” meme content, though it did not receive much attention outside of specific niches.

The IShowEyes meme edit originally comes from a YouTube video thumbnail by YouTuber Sambucha titled "I Found YouTubers' Secret Channels," which was uploaded on May 6th, 2024. The video notably garnered over 3.5 million views, 48,000 likes and 2,800 comments in roughly a year, with many of the comments referencing the IShowEyes meme.

On December 23rd, 2024, Redditor LocksmithFit9611 posted an Iceberg Chart meme featuring various IShowSpeed meme variants to the /r/IcebergCharts^[2] subreddit, which helped document and organize the growing "IShowEyes" meme lore despite receiving little engagement.

Spread

The IShowEyes meme remained largely dormant throughout early 2025, appearing more frequently in late 2025 into early 2026.

On August 23rd, 2025, X^[8] / Twitter user wessquiid tweeted the IShowEyes GIF, garnering over 96,800 views, 7,900 likes and 1,000 retweets in eight months.

In early March 2026, the IShowEyes GIF began appearing on TikTok more prominently, accompanied by music from the video game OneShot.

On March 2nd, 2026, TikTok^[4] user @ssg_galaxy posted a video featuring the GIF and music, which received about 138,300 views and 21,400 likes in just over three weeks.

On March 17th, 2026, TikTok^[5] user @yeyo61926 posted a similar video, which received about 127,000 views and 10,200 likes in about two weeks.

On March 26th, 2026, TikTok^[6] user @jump13749 posted a video featuring the GIF, this time edited with a CapCut template meant to depict a flipbook. The video received about 175,200 views and 20,200 likes in less than one week.

On March 29th, 2026, Redditor HopefulSituation3880 posted the origins of the original IShowFinance and subsequent IShowEyes edit to the /r/TheMatpatEffect^[3] subreddit. The post received about 1,200 upvotes in just a few days.

That same day, X^[9] user DIOButFemale reposted the meme from a TikTok recording amid its virality on the platform, garnering over 77,800 views, 6,300 likes and 1,100 retweets in three days.
